Executive Vice President Sandra Bergeron as Chairman

SAN MATEO, CA –Oct.5, 2005 - TriCipher, Inc.,
the innovators of strong authentication for the real
world, today announced the appointment of Sandra
Bergeron as chairman of the TriCipher board of directors.
Already an active board member adding to the collective
experience, market knowledge and vision of the company,
Bergeron’s strong strategic skills and status
as a security expert will provide the company with
valuable insight, relationships, and counsel as the
company continues on its upward trajectory.

Sandra England Bergeron is one of the best-known
and highly respected executives in Silicon Valley.
Following a ten-year career at McAfee, Inc (NYSE:
MFE), Mrs. Bergeron remains a Strategic Advisor to
the CEO and the Board of Directors of McAfee, Inc.
In addition to her role of Chairman of the Board
of Directors for TriCipher, Bergeron sits on the
Board of Directors of TraceSecurity Inc. She is also
a Venture Advisor to Trident Capital, and is an advisor
to Varonis Systems, Inc. Mrs. Bergeron also sits
on the Board of Advisors for the J. Mack Robinson
College of Business of Georgia State University in
Atlanta.
Sandra Bergeron's national reputation as a computer
security thought leader earned her the distinction
as one of Information Security Magazine's Top 25
Women of Vision in 2003. Bergeron's opinions on security
matters are highly sought after by government and
private industry leaders. She has testified to the
Subcommittee on Technology within the House Science
Committee regarding how government and private industry
can better prepare for virus attacks. Bergeron was
selected by U.S. Congressman Mike Honda and San Jose,
California Mayor Ron Gonzales to serve on the Silicon
Valley Blue Ribbon Task Force on Aviation Security
and Technology. The Task Force, comprised of experts
from Silicon Valley in the areas of technology, business,
policy and aviation, delivered recommendations to
increase aviation security.
Prior to her current roles, Bergeron served as Executive
Vice President of Strategy, Research, and Corporate
Development at McAfee, Inc. She was also President
of PGP Security, a McAfee division, from 2000 to
2001. Prior to that, Mrs. Bergeron held executive
positions in sales and engineering with McAfee. Mrs.
Bergeron holds a Bachelor of Business Administration
(Cum Laude) from Georgia State University and a Master
of Business Administration from Xavier University
in Cincinnati.
