TriCipher, Inc. Announces Board
of Advisors
Strong Authentication Company
Names Security and Industry Luminaries to Board
of Advisors
SAN MATEO, CA – May 23, 2005 -- TriCipher,
Inc., the innovators of strong authentication for
the real world, today announced the formation of
its board of advisors. TriCipher’s advisory
board consists of nine highly accomplished individuals
that offer TriCipher deep domain expertise in security,
financial services, identity management and intellectual
property. They have partnered with the company to
help provide product and strategic guidance in their
respective areas. The company’s ability to
attract a high quality advisory board validates the
innovation TriCipher’s technology delivers
to the authentication market and the strength of
the market need.
“I believe TriCipher has developed a unique
product that fills a huge gap in the authentication
market between products that are too weak or too
hard to manage or deploy,” commented Bob West,
President of Echelon One, LLC and former CISO of
Fifth Third Bank. “Having purchased and implemented
complex authentication systems, I appreciate both
the security and ease of use and deployment TriCipher
represents. I look forward to leveraging my experience
as a CISO to give the company an edge selling security
in today’s business environment and help develop
its product roadmap.”
“Strong authentication is rapidly emerging
for every identity management installation,” said
Vadim Lander, Chief Identity Architect for Computer
Associates and former CTO of Netegrity. “Companies
have held off deploying it because most systems are
expensive, complex and difficult to use. TriCipher
has solved these problems and added the ability to
match authentication strength to type of user. I
expect to see TriCipher widely deployed over the
next couple of years.”
“For companies offering online services,
strong authentication is critical to protect users
and their private information,” noted Gerhard
Eschelbeck, CTO and Vice President of Engineering
at Qualys. “TriCipher is delivering one of
the first solutions for deployment in hosted and
multi-tenant environments.”
