TriCipher Integrates Microsoft Outlook Web Access Into myOneLogin

On-Demand, Web-based Strong Authentication Secures Remote E-mail Access

LOS GATOS, Calif. (March 25, 2008) — TriCipher today integrated Microsoft® Outlook® Web Access (OWA) with myOneLogin (www.myonelogin.com), the first software as a service (SaaS) offering to combine strong authentication, single sign-on (SSO) and unlimited application integration.

OWA is the fourth major application compatible with myOneLogin, along with salesforce.com, WebEx and Google Apps. Microsoft Outlook Web Access enables remote and roaming access to Outlook through a Web browser, and has an install base of more than 135 million people who have the technology through Exchange Server.

myOneLogin provides a single, secure on-demand gateway for enterprises to access all of their Web-based applications. In addition, the service secures access to the "shadow IT" resources where employees share corporate data – such as social networks and personal e-mail accounts – implementing controls where employees would otherwise bypass corporate data protection, identity protection, and compliance controls. Offered as a Web service, it requires minimal investment, has no hardware or software to install, and can scale to any number of employees and applications.

Users only have to enter one user name and password to securely connect to third-party and internal Web-based applications. This approach streamlines password policies and compliance reporting and reduces the risks of phishing and the costs of expensive authentication hardware and software.

"Many organizations deploy one-time password authentication just for Microsoft Outlook Web Access, adding tremendous cost and complexity to online business," said John De Santis, TriCipher CEO. "myOneLogin increases both the security and convenience that Microsoft and all SaaS providers offer, while dramatically lowering current and ongoing costs of authentication."

TriCipher completed the integration of OWA with myOneLogin in less than one day. Because it works with any Web-based application that supports federation standards – such as Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), OpenID or a typical username and password – myOneLogin can add new applications in a matter of hours.

myOneLogin offers various levels of protection, including: browser cookies; mutual authentication; certificates; and mutual secure socket layer (SSL) connections. The service's behind-the-scenes architecture guarantees that even if employees' usernames and passwords are compromised, fraudsters would not have the complete credential to connect to applications, protecting data stored on third-party applications.
