TriCipher Adds Top EMEA Pro To Its Star Sales Team
New EMEA Sales Chief to Help Develop New Markets
Authentication Leader Continues To Draw Top Talent
LOS GATOS, CA - April 23, 2007 - TriCipher, a leading provider of strong authentication solutions that protects the online channel against fraud and identity theft, today announced the appointment of David Franklin as Vice President of Sales for EMEA. A seasoned sales executive, who began his career in software and hardware Research and Development, David has a proven track record of delivering double-digit revenue growth year on year. His prime responsibilities will be to formally establish TriCipher’s European business based out of the U.K including all essential operational infrastructures and processes, and to design and manage sales and growth strategies throughout EMEA.

An executive with over 16 years of experience driving and managing sales operations for global organizations, David comes to TriCipher after 6 years at nCipher, a UK-based firm that specializes in cryptographic security systems. As Vice President of Sales for EMEA at nCipher, David directed numerous teams across EMEA breaking ground in new territories such as Southern Europe, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and South Africa. At nCipher, he spearheaded business strategies and pioneered new solutions for the EMEA market that led to 100% growth in the EMEA revenue over the last 3 years.
In the South African territory, David worked closely with partners EGIS and NamITech on projects with the Reserve Bank (National Payment System) and other South African banks o build revenues from $0 to almost half million per quarter – or $2 million per year. At the same time, leading the drive into Southern Europe – which includes France, Spain, and Italy – David succeeded in turning around a loss making region into a region generating a multi-million dollar figure every year.
While developing new territories for nCipher, David refocused strategy in the United Kingdom dramatically increasing revenue.
An Alumni of Cambridge University, David also still finds time for his passion for jazz as a saxophonist, playing in Big Bands and smaller jazz groups.
